Upper Kittitas County Recreation Area Upper Kittitas County is well known amongst the snowmobilers for it's groomed trails and miles of areas to play in. The Yakima River is very popular with the fly fishermen. But we also have other activities like rock hounding, horse back riding, kyaking, hiking and moutain biking. Our area lakes provide plenty of room for fishing, swimming and boating activities.
Campgrounds & RV Parks Upper Kittitas County offers a wealth of camping opportunities as there are 22 campgrounds within the Cle Elum Ranger District. Different styles of camping are accomodated from urban-like settings to campsites for people with horses and off-road vehicles.
